The 2023 edition of BelleFest was held on June 18 at Ibeno Beach, Akwa Ibom State, the longest sand beach in West Africa. This open-air celebration took full advantage of its seaside setting, featuring local music, games, boat regattas, and a strong sense of community. It was an unforgettable day of “Fun on the Ibeno Beach,” blending cultural pride with beachfront relaxation.
BelleFest 2024 – A Cultural Turn in Port Harcourt
In a bold shift, BelleFest 2024 moved inland to Zinuel CH Hotel, off Aba Express Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Held on December 8, this edition was themed around food and cultural performance. Guests enjoyed a mix of music, traditional storytelling, food tastings, and even e-sports, all within an intimate indoor setting. A standout moment came from a stage performance by Udo Mariam (Chief Ofonime Felix Okon), adding theatrical flair to the evening.
What’s Next – BelleFest 2025: “The Buffet Party”
Looking ahead, BelleFest 2025 is scheduled to take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, at Dante’s Place, Ring Road 3. Tagged “The Buffet Party,” the event promises a rich culinary experience hosted by Chef Kemi Blaq. Guests can expect a wide-ranging menu from classic Nigerian favorites like jollof rice, egusi soup, and suya, to international dishes like Indonesian satay and penne arrabiata.
